Maritime Museum Aberdeen
Today we decided to drive to the car park next to the maritime museum....I laughed so hard we made so many passes by the dam car park and could not see it then on the 4th one ...I said there it is and all this time our GPS was saying you have arrived at your destination LOL! The displays were very interesting, then we walked around a bit and took some pictures...lovely day
Trip North shore route
In the afternoon we decided to take a drive along the coast ...we travelled North and came to a place called Cruden Bay...lovely little village near the North Sea....off in the distance we could see a Castle Ruin after some investigative driving we found a parking spot off the highway and the sign showing us the way to Slains Castle oh! My did we have fun...check out the pictures ..the views were unbelievable and on the old road back to the car the flowers along the beat up road just ready to bloom...I want to go back
Stonehaven and Dunnuttar Castle
Great Day...we picked Ann Marie up and off we went down the coastal Road to Stonehaven ..we had a great lunch at a Pub/Hotel our sweet Ann marie bought :)then we started walking along the boardwalk only to be sidetracked but stones left when the tide went out...I filled my pocket and had to make myself stop...found a piece of tide rolled glass very pretty...meeting folks along the way walking with there dogs the picture is of the one I thought was so cute he was retrieving stones big ones...we stopped at a small free museum run by these old guys they were so friendly I even had a dance with one :)
we then made our way to Dunnuttar Castle and had a good look around it...still a amazing sight when you first see it in the distance..the stone walkway so beautiful...I was I thrilled with the gulls who certainly called it there home......on to Delgatie Castle tomorrow

Trip to Delgatie
We left Aberdeen heading to Turriff and Delgatie...we stopped along the way at Fyvie And looked around a old church and cemetery ...thinking to go see Fyvie Castle it was however closed on thursdays note the snow....then continued on to Turriff deciding to do some shopping for supplies .....but lunch first White Heather Hotel looked good....it was a tiny pub with two older gents holding up the bar Ha! They said the bartender would be right out...we had a nice chat while waiting ..the owner/barman came out and handed us a menu not much on it but we were hungry so ordered some fish and fries.....back to chatting with the men learning all about the Turra Coo...how the coo was taken from the owner to pay taxes and then it need up in Aberdeen being bought back by the towns people who sided with the Coo owner and brought it back to him...the bar owner pulled out some old books to read while havering our lunch, then wrote out the best places to see around Banff which we will do tomorrow...maybe stopping on the way back for a pint of Guinness ....they were happy to pose for the picture. See also the Coo.... It was pouring rain when we came out, sheets of rain but didn't last long. Shopping done headed to Delgatie ...where we are settled nicely into our accommodation..after a couple of chats with Joan and her delivery of 4 large scones butter and jam which we ate in no time ..we then took a walk down to the trout pond stopping along the way to pet the ponds...sweet Shetland ponies 4 of them all coming to greet us as we walked...tomorrow we will take them some apples.its tomorrow we fed the ponies so cute....Internet is only at the coach house so we are sitting here to send the blog
