It's a glorious morning cloudy now but the Sun peaking through here and there to warm up the day,the views along our route spectacular, the road full of twists and turns, quaint little villages, and lots of sheep! Stopped at Eilean Donan Castle ...Eilean Donan has been a fortified sight for over 800 years..named after a 6th century Irish Saint who came to Scotland AD 580 ...the present building dates largely from the 20th century....today's castle which rose from the ruins of its predecessor, was rebuilt between 1912 and 1932 by Lieutenant Colonel John McRae-Gilstrap. What determination these Scots have that have rebuilt these Castles ..... Got a guide to pose for a picture...you can tell he was happy to do it and had done this many times before Ha!
