Hello al ..this blog is not proceeding very well I'm afraid, a few issues with posting from the Ipad was much easier with the laptop ...well will put something down here anyway. We arrived in England on sat morning had a great flight were well fed and served lots of glasses of water to keep us hydrated ... Good movies also :) arrival at Heathrow was slick and quick to get through customs....we wondered a bit before I spotted Tricia then we saw Sam who has grown so much, I hardly recognized him :) ...we stopped for a coffee for the drive to Basildon where they live. Settled in at Chez Ainsbury ...love it here ! Tricia's brother Dave was also here on a visit nice to be able to meet him...we all went out for a breakfast buffet....I ate so much great English bacon...mmmmmm! Sausage, eggs, and beans along with potato, toast and really good coffee! A great start for the day. Then we went to the Secret Nuclear Bunker ...it was a drive through the countryside, we pulled up to a old farmhouse and went inside, down through a doorway ending up 100feet underground three floors of rooms built to house the Government Officials and Head Military to protect them I case of a Nuclear Attack...was interesting wondering though the rooms. Finished up at The Black Horse for a fantastic meal...Sunday we took Dave to the airport and then were off on our next adventure filled day. Stonehenge and Windsor Castle were on our list. We drove to Stonehenge first ...my gosh it was so cold...we had extra warm jackets lent to us by Tricia and Alan...along with gloves, scarves and hats...just nearly keeping that wind from blowing right through us...it didn't dampen our spirits in the least amazing to see Stonehenge and try and imagine how they could have gotten those huge rocks there...I say Aliens ...next stop Windsor Castle! We of course stopped for lunch first another great meal! Windsor Castle is so big and spread out over the land....inside the castle itself just took my breath away....the artwork, displays it was amazing truly it all was ...
