Today Greenwich....a very nice day for the drive and wander around....walked uphill to the greenwich meridian line at zero degrees longitude all time is measured from this point....amazing saw the Royal Navel university that was built in 1694 ....amazing buildings. Got a bit cool later on but was still a great day ....very interesting place ....had a great meal in a tiny Cafe and then a drink at our last stop Spanish Galley before heading home. Took the ferry across the River Thames arriving home in no time to the sent of the turkey roasting mmmm! Can hardly wait for that. Alan bought us some pork cracklings to tide us over....just had the amazing turkey dinner...it was stupendous and we had champagne and just waiting on the profiteroles that Sam made for us...I feel like a Queen

Rod must be loving these tours! It sure sounds interesting! I am always impressed by the old buildings that are still standing strong. They really made them to stand the test of time.. you couldn't have better guides! I suspect a few tears will fall when its time to move on in your holiday:-)
ReplyDeleteForgot to explaine two of the pictures...one of the little bird it is a Britsh Robin and so tame it just sat there as I came right up to it with the camera....very pretty! Then there is the one of Alan coming down the street with what looks like a dog in his arms Ha! It was our hats :) he had gone back to plug the meter in the car park and brought them back for Tricia and me...very thoughtful man ...said good bye to Sam and James already as they are both gone for the day will head to the airport around 3 I think ... On to Aberdeen, Ann-Marie and Christopher
