Football ! Fun, and food
What a experience yesterday was Tricia and Alan bought us tickets to a game west Ham United vs West Bromwich Albion (our team) what a experience it was so many. People getting on the train....then we arrived the streets were filled with people snaking their way along the sidewalks and roads to the stadium ....lots of police present. West Ham is quite a place Alan said you can get anything illegal there from passports to contract killing yikes! We entered through the away entrance, they keep the away team supporters separated from the home team supporters for good reason....we had beer in the hall area and listened to the chanting starting for the Baggies ( our team) it was very infectious got the adrenalin pumping....our seats in the away section of course separated by the big black rubber tarp from the seats on the other side....we had some rowdy supporters standing in front of us ....fowl mouths on those guys ! We lost it was so sad 3to0 till the last few minutes then the Baggies scored a goal ....we then headed back to the train station...though a sea of people on the streets ...police police and more police....the line going into the train station was unbelievable...once we got onto the ramp going in it didn't take long...Tricia holding my hand...and me reaching with my other hand for Rods and finding I was holding the hand of a strange man Ha! We all had a good laugh...stopped for some takeaway chips at the chippy near where the car was parked then headed home....then straight out to The Bell Pub and Restaurant....for a great meal and to see the Hot Cross Buns hanging from the ceiling they have been placing them there for years every Easter ...

Good Friday walk through Langdon Hills Reserve
With Sam and James seeing Us off at the door...they were off to Golf....we headed out for a walk through the Langdon ( meaning long hill) Reserve which is directly behind Alan and Tricia's home....the pathway was quite muddy in places but none of this deterred us on our mission to reach the top of the hill and the Restaurant Pub....we met quite a few walkers and their dogs along the way....wondered at the beauty of the forest and the views across the countryside ...we could just pick out some London landmarks in the distance ....we walked we think after much discussion...4 miles round trip! So didn't feel guiltily for the big plate of breakfast I had... On the way back met the neighbour and the dogs Lulu was happy to be picked up by me.back home now our muddy pants in the wash and us relaxing in front of the TV watching Dickinson Real Deal ...like Antiques Road Show....

Faversham Market Town Of Kings and Shepherd Neame Brewery...
Happy Thursday to us....and it was we...Rod and I just sit back in the car and Alan and Tricia drive us out each day for a new adventure....today was another amazing one. Drove to Farversham and stepped back in time once in the Market area....my head didn't know which way to turn so much to see...Tricia and I stopped in to a hat shop...and bought the same most beautiful and warm hats...see the picture :)...then we were straight into The Bear Inn this is the oldest surviving medieval Pub in Faversham ....tiny little place, a snug with two booths in it and then the Salon where we had a pint each and a really tasty meal....with dessert yes! Dessert. We then walked around the town...and then the tour of the brewery....very good got the lowdown on how to brew lager and ale very tasty samples at the end. We headed over to the Chip shoppe for a lovey folded newspaper bag ( no print) filled with thick chips and much to Tricia's dismay a battered and deep fried sausage ...my god that was so good...I am not afraid to admit I am addicted to all this food...well and the beer :) ...we made our way home as Tricia only had one taste of beer at the brewery she drove...man oh man there was so much traffic ...it was crazy! We went past over 3 miles of vehicles lined up to get on the bridge....
